here's my marker, Note I do not use that massive barrel, flashlight, or laser sight anymore. I just have the apex barrel sitting there. Since i'm a mil-sim guy and have a mag im more or less looking for a barrel shroud. im on a tight budget with paint, air, and most importantly a girlfriend XD. I was thinking about some kind of pipe to make a shroud sort of like an AR-15 which is what my marker kid of looks like already. Also since about 1/2 of the places and games i play gun hits do not count, i was thinking about mounting a removable shield like the ones in Army of Two. Does that help? sorry im soo lost with home mods. btw sorry for the huge pic

Ok that helps some. So you are using the Apex? I would take it to a hardware store and find a piece of PVC or ABS that is large enough to notch and attach around the front couple of inches of the receiver halves., and the length you are looking for. I would pick up 2 of the busings or reducers to hog out for the barrel to pass thru and use that to mount the shroud to the barrel. Make sense?

I've seen people use an old flatline shroud on the Apex equipped barrels that looks and functions well. Another adaptation I've seen that was pretty bad ass was Gunny Anderson's, I'm pretty sure he made it out of an old 3-D cell Maglite body. Any old aluminum D cell flashlight body could probably be adapted. I tried the PVC option to replace and modify my flatline barrel and it held up for awhile but eventually cracked and disintegrated. Hope this helps!
